At U of T, the Central Steam Plant has been pumping steam throughout the campus for 100 years, heating buildings and providing hot water.  With the help of photographer Lodoe Laura, I put together an inside look at this feat of engineering.

Is a six storey building too tall for condo developments in the Beaches area?  Some residents think so, while others don’t.  The Beaches Urban Development Guidelines outline a plan for what future development on the east end of Queen should look like, and it’s got residents all in a huff.

Our mayor doesn’t like graffiti, but some people don’t want the murals on their buildings removed in the wake of his anti graffiti campaign.  A panel of city staff reviewed exemption applications to decide which murals stay and which ones go.  Most remain undecided, but a few were saved including this one of Totoro with a spray can.
