Captain John’s is a seafood restaurant in Toronto that has been docked at the foot of Yonge Street for 42 years occupying some of the best real estate in the country. In this city it’s an ongoing saga. Owner John Letnik owes over 500k in realty taxes and rent to the city, Port Authority, and Waterfront Toronto. He wants to retire, but can’t go anywhere until he does something about the boat. The City wants it gone one way or another, so he has to sell it somehow, to someone. Any takers? If you care to donate to the cause, visit www.savecaptainjohn.org Until he can settle up his debts, the saga continues for the lonesome sea captain.
