Every year the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto hosts an art and design show called Come Up To My Room. This year the second-floor rooms and hallways of the hotel hold wondrous creations that will intrigue and beguile with evocative sounds, imagery, and experiences.
The event runs January 24-27 and costs $10, but my special media powers allowed me to attend the free preview which also happened to include a drink ticket. Sliders, kababs, and Mexican wraps were available on plates throughout the exhibit too. This year is unique because people can find art installations outside the hotel, such as one in the courtyard of the Bohemian Embassy and one on the sidewalk in front of a store on Queen Street.
