This is the latest in a series of profiles I’m doing on medical marijuana users. Laurie Modderman was diagnosed with MS in 1979 and although there are no drugs to stop the progression of the disease, there are things to treat the symptoms. She tried a few pharmaceuticals but didn’t like the side effects. Then a friend introduced her to the medical powers of pot and she hasn’t looked back since. Just a couple tokes before bed is all it takes to kill the pain and muscles spasms that keep her awake at night. And no side effects! Thanks to medical marijuana she has been able to mostly avoid costly pharma.
